well. thank you for that mini introduction to deviant art. that was helpful.

i'm a watcher because i clicked the "watch this deviant" link on your profile page. i'll be notified any time you post anything: picture, poem, journal, whatever.

the goal of most people on DA seems (to me) to be to get many page views.* the more watchers you have, the more people check out your postings. it also seems to follow that, the more people you watch, the more watchers you get. people love it when you comment on their work, too.

(since i'm sort of a comment-hog, i like to watch people who a) reply to comments i've posted on their work or b) are just really, really good at what they do. you are a little of both, so far.)

a lot of the people i watch, i found by browsing through the "favourites" of people who've commented on my stuff.

if you go browsing through different categories (from the home page) you'll find that there are some really good artists, photographers, and models out there. you'll also find that there are pure exhibitionists and people who think that some of the (ahem) stupidest stuff is "art"

i hope you find what you're looking for here, and i hope you have fun. i've been having a good time, so far....


*my own goal for being on DA is to a) explore my latent photographic talent (assuming i have any) and b) interact with people who share my tastes. a lot of people seem to want to use this forum as a way to "hook up." i don't have a problem with that, but considering that i'm happily married, the extent of my interactions will never go beyond cyberspace and friendship.

well thank you. and your dog is cute. honestly, i don't know what a "watcher" is, but you're more than welcome to become one. i've had my account for a while, but i just starting adding photos yesterday, so i really don't know what anything is right now.
